Description

Eight dice. Eight paths for fate.

Change the die — change the drama.

This set of eight specially designed 16 mm six-sided dice lets you shape the tone of events at your gaming table. Each die looks familiar, yet each favours a different style of outcome: steady reliability, heroic triumph, creeping danger, or wild unpredictable chaos.

Instead of relying on the same flat probability for every roll, you can choose the die that best matches the moment in the story. Is the hero attempting something legendary? Is the situation growing tense and dangerous? Is a reckless gamble about to be made?

Game Masters can use these dice to control tension and pacing, while players can choose the die that reflects their character’s approach — careful, bold, desperate, or blessed by fortune. By simply changing the die, you change the feel of the scene.

Balanced Die — The World As It Is

Faces: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

This die represents ordinary uncertainty — the unpredictable but fair nature of the world. Use it whenever events unfold without strong advantage or danger influencing the outcome. It is ideal for routine actions, neutral NPCs, or moments when neither luck nor destiny holds sway. When in doubt, this is the die to trust.

Reliable Die — Training and Experience

Faces: 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4

Skill reduces chaos. This die favours steady, competent results and avoids dramatic extremes. Use it for experienced characters, careful planning, professional craftsmanship, or any situation where preparation matters more than luck. Success may not be spectacular, but failure is rarely disastrous.

Chaos Die — Wild Magic & Desperation

Faces: 1, 1, 1, 6, 6, 6

When everything is on the line, outcomes become unpredictable. This die produces brilliant triumphs or crushing failures with little in between. Roll it for reckless actions, unstable magic, last stands, or desperate gambles. The Chaos Die turns ordinary moments into stories players remember.

Hero Die — Legend in the Making

Faces: 1, 1, 3, 4, 6, 6

Heroes live in extremes. They stumble, but they also achieve greatness more often than chance alone would allow. Use this die when a character takes the spotlight — daring rescues, final duels, or moments of destiny. It encourages cinematic success without guaranteeing victory.

Momentum Die — The Situation Evolves

Faces: 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5

Some challenges unfold gradually rather than explosively. This die favours flowing, believable progress and reduces sudden swings of fortune. Use it during chases, negotiations, investigations, or extended efforts where outcomes build naturally over time. Momentum rewards persistence.

Doom Die — Gathering Threat

Faces: 1, 1, 2, 2, 6, 6

Danger approaches, even when heroes succeed. The Doom Die introduces tension without making failure certain. Low rolls appear often enough to remind players that risks are real, while rare high results keep hope alive. Ideal for horror, ticking clocks, mounting pressure, or encounters where the stakes steadily rise.

Fortune Die — Luck Smiles

Faces: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6

Sometimes fate lends a helping hand. This die gently favours success while still allowing uncertainty. Use it as a reward for clever ideas, heroic roleplay, divine blessings, or moments when the story calls for optimism. Fortune improves the odds without removing suspense.

Trickster Die — Something Isn’t Quite Fair

Faces: 1, 2, 3, 4, 4, 7

At first glance this die seems ordinary — but luck subtly leans in the roller’s favour. Perfect for cunning characters, fey bargains, mysterious artefacts, or situations where unseen forces interfere. Players may not notice why outcomes feel different, only that chance behaves strangely.

Because sometimes the story needs more than just another roll of the same old dice.
